Riley Johnston

Riley Johnston is a debut novelist from Belfast, where she works as a secondary school teacher. She was first published in The 32: An Anthology of Working-class Voices in 2021 and her short fiction has been published by Comma Press. BBC Radio 4 Short Works commissioned her to write No Good Deed, which was recorded by Tara Lynn O’Neill (Derry Girls) and aired in 2024. She was first runner up in the Mairtín Crawford Short Story Award with Calloused and a early draft of her debut novel, A Holy Show, was longlisted in the Discoveries Prize and the Irish Writers Centre Novel Fair.
