Ro Hollinrake

Ro Hollinrake is a multidisciplinary writer, artist, and designer.  She is from a working-class background and grew up in the countryside in the Peak District and West Midlands. Throughout a patchwork of careers in youth work, toy design and museums, Ro has always carved out time for her creative practice in narrative fiction, art and filmmaking (screenwriting, costume and production design).

Her work stems from a preoccupation with the way our human psyche is projected in folklore, archetypes and the occult. Ghosts and the paranormal fascinate and terrify her in equal measure. She tends to sleep with the light on.

Ro is currently working on a literary horror novel combining her two current hyperfixations: Jungian analysis and ghosts.

Ro’s debut horror novel ‘The Filthiest Corner of the House’ will be published in the UK and North America by Titan Books in 2027.
